Thank you for visiting our website and for your interest in King's Church. In one sense we are a brand new Church as we serve Phoenix and the Valley of the Sun. Yet in another sense, we stand in a long line of churches that affirm the trustworthiness of the Bible and its message of hope in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We are commited to holding together two things that are often viewed as separate: a commitment to sound doctrine and a passionate pursuit of the presence of God.
We would describe our Church as evangelical, reformed and charismatic.
Being evangelical basically means two things: (1) we believe that the Bible is the essential and infallible record of God's self-disclosure and is therefore our final authority in all matters of life and doctrine, and (2) we believe people need to be saved by responding to the gospel (the evangel) of Jesus Christ. With Scripture alone as our sure foundation, we affirm that justification is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, to the glory of God alone.
We are essentially reformed in our theology. This means that we embrace and exult in the sovereignty of God over all things, and we therefore place the emphasis on the activity of God and the glory of God in the salvation of sinners.
We are charismatic. This means that although we strive to be subject to Scripture in all things, we are active in our pursuit and practice of the gifts of the Spirit as found in the New Testament, and that our worship is expressive and passionate

God did not give us His gospel just so we could embrace it and be converted. Actually, He offers it to us every day as a gift that keeps on giving to us everything we need for life and godliness. The wise believer learns this early and becomes proficient in extracting available benefits from the gospel each day. We extract these benefits by being absorbed in the gospel, speaking it to ourselves when necessary, and by daring to reckon it true in all we do.
God's gifts are all of grace, and there is nothing we can do to earn them. However, the wise believer will make sure he is positioning himself in the spot where God's gracious gifts are located. And the Scripture teaches that all such gifts are located inside the gospel. Hence the Bible tells Christians to be continuously established and steadfast in the gospel and to refuse to be moved from there (Col. 1:23).
